What is this going to cost me?
Ask on the first call — we'd rather have that conversation immediately than have you avoid calling. Most of our work is a published flat fee, and whatever the arrangement, it's in writing before anything begins.
Is my matter too small to bother with?
Ask anyway. The threshold of what's economical is lower here than at a traditional firm, precisely because our costs on routine work are lower. Matters a larger firm would decline are often perfectly workable.
Have I waited too long?
Possibly — which is exactly why to ask today rather than next month. Construction agreements carry notice and lien deadlines much shorter than most people expect, and eviction and foreclosure move faster still.
Will I actually work with Daya?
Daya leads the engagement and sets strategy — this is a boutique practice, not a pyramid of associates learning on your file. Day to day you'll also work with our paralegal and client support team. You'll always know who's handling what.
You represent landlords and tenants. What if you already act for the other side?
That's why we ask for the full names of everyone involved early, before you've told us much. It's a conflicts check, and it protects you as much as anyone. If we can't act, we'll say so quickly and help you find someone who can.
What does it mean that you're an "AI-powered" firm?
We use advanced AI for research, document review, and first-draft work — which is what lets us deliver more thorough work faster, and quote fixed prices on matters that traditionally couldn't have them. Daya directs the strategy and reviews everything before it reaches you.
What if I'm not sure I even need a lawyer?
Completely reasonable, and the first conversation is designed to settle it one way or the other. Sometimes we tell people they don't need us. That answer costs you a phone call and can save you a great deal else.
